Project Overview

The work of this project includes replacing the existing lift station L55 with a new three pump 3.8MGD lift station; construct new force main from the new lift station to a connection point with the existing force main; construct a new gravity sewer from existing L55 to new L55; demolish the original L55.

Construction of a cast-in-place concrete lift station with wetwell/drywell in the parking lot of a LaQunita Hotel in downtown Bloomington, MN. The 55-foot-deep excavation required the installation of a 95-foot diameter sheet pile supported excavation from the ground surface to invert. Additional work included deep influent piping and forcemains in city streets, road closures, traffic control, masonry, process piping, plumbing, steel building construction, sewage bypassing, electrical & instrumentation.
