Wade is an iconic symbol in the water and wastewater construction industry. Even before he stepped foot into college to receive his degree in civil engineering from the University of MN, he spent most of his youth in or around the construction site with his father, learning the water and wastewater construction business from the ground up.
As president, he provides high-level project leadership and guidance, and has been involved with some of our most successful and challenging water and wastewater projects at Rice Lake. Wade has laid the foundation for everything we do and leads our quest to do better by being personally involved with projects and all aspects of the day-to-day operations at Rice Lake. All the while continually mentoring team members to maintain a reputation for exceptional projects and project delivery.
From those of you who haven’t had the opportunity to meet Wade, you will find him to be a personable, humble leader. There is not a day when he is in the office that you won’t see him walking around personally, checking in with every team member, and adding humor to their day. His loyalty and passion for the company and his team have resulted in high employee retention, with multiple employees having 30+ years with Rice Lake. Wade and his wife raised their family in the community that he serves. He strongly believes in giving back and dedicates his time to serving as a board member of a community-based hospital and health care provider, as well as other local charities and fundraisers. During Wade’s free time, you will see him on the golf course, walking his redfox lab, or taking his boys on fishing trips.
